Capturing the Ears of the Father of the Bride at Council Crest Park

Happy New Year!  Boy, 2012 was probably the most awesome year since I started Effesenden Music over 10 years ago.  I’m so glad to be 10 years in and still loving what I do!  There are several reasons why this continues to be a dream job– 1.  I get the opportunity to learn and arrange so much fun music.  Our clients are always introducing us to music that is meaningful to them. . . it’s like the modern mix tape!  2.  I collaborate with a wonderful team of musicians.  We feed off one another’s energy and creativity and I am thankful to have found folks who are not only exceptionally talented and creative but also able to handle the precision and pressure involved with timing music for a wedding.  3.  I love people and it’s so special to play a small role in making their dream wedding celebration come to life.

I’m excited to post this song from a wedding celebration held at Council Crest Park last July.  We were just doing one more song during the cocktail hour and as luck would have it, the father of the bride was standing close by.  We had no idea that this piece was so meaningful to him.  These are the kind of things you can’t plan but you want to be ready to just seize the opportunity when it arrives!

Here, There and Everywhere
